This decision relates to funding from the Home Office for perpetrators of antisocial behaviour to face swift and visible justice.
This contributes to the Police and Crime priority to reduce crime, antisocial behaviour and harm.
The scheme aims to educate people about the impact of antisocial behaviour on the community. It also aims to encourage them to accept responsibility for their actions and make amends by contributing to activities within the community.
Ultimately, it is hoped that this will demonstrate consequences for antisocial behaviour and discourage individuals from further acts of antisocial behaviour or crime.

From the Home Office Funding to run Immediate Justice, we have an anticipated overspend of £21,708.09, from Stockton Council.
This is primarily due to a build-up of costs across the financial year for activities and transport being reported in quarter 4 and higher than anticipated staffing costs. There is sufficient underspend within other elements of the funding to cover this.
The underspend from Immediate Justice funding should be used to cover the overspend reported by Stockton Council.
This will enable us to make the best use of Government funding. It also ensures that the funding covers the total cost of delivering the Immediate Justice programme for the financial year 2024/25.
