Borderline Books is a charity run by the Kittiwake Trust .
It was set up in Gateshead in 2009.
Working with volunteers, they collect books from individuals, shops, libraries and publishers to re-distribute them to organisations working with disadvantaged people in Britain.
The PCC received a number of books for the custody suite in Middlesbrough through the charity. People in custody can be given the option to read a book and take it away with them if they wish. The PCC would now like to give a small donation of £100.00 back to the charity.
